android studio - Getting Genymotion to run with homebrew/cask installed VirtualBox -

i tried genymotion running through android studio virtualbox installed through homebrew cask. when trying launch genymotion through android studio using genymotion device manager button in toolbar, error genymotion: initialize engine: failed in event log, seems error related when virtualbox isn't installed.

running genymotion on own outside of android studio works fine.

i able fix uninstalling virtualbox cask , reinstalling .dmg provided virtualbox themselves. that's fine me right now, wondering how 1 cask-installed virtualbox linked android studio.

make sure have installed homebrew.

brew cask install virtualbox  brew cask install genymotion
